Pacific Telco recommends Polycom IP Telephones.  Prices range from $150 - $600 depending on what your looking to do.  I have the $150 model on my desk and it works great (Polycom 430).

Pacific Telco recommends Fat Pipe Router Clustering Devices.  This hardware will not only bulletproof your phone system, but your entire network.  If you option out of Fat Pipe ($4000+), we recommend Edgewater Networks 4200 Router with QOS ($350+).  Although not required, it's the magic bullet that makes the transition from analogue to digital go smooth.

Costs

There are so many scenarios.  We can break it down a dozen ways, but in the end, the easiest thing to do is look at your phone bill and shave off about 40%.  In most cases, it takes about 12-14 months to break even on your new phone system.  After that, its just money in the bank.
